Dr. Meredith Owen received an honours degree in BioMedical Science from the University of Guelph before studying dentistry at the University of Sydney. She graduated with honours and was awarded the Henry Bruce Maxwell prize for restorative dentistry, an academic merit scholarship, and an alumni achievement honour for leadership and community engagement. She also obtained her Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Periodontics from the University of Sydney, and upon completion was awarded membership into the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.
Dr. Owen has been working in private practice since 2010. She has been involved in teaching for both the University of Sydney and the University of Newcastle. She is currently a Swiss Dental Academy trainer, teaching innovative techniques for oral biofilm management.
Dr. Owen offers an array of periodontal and dental implant related treatments, including: non-surgical and surgical treatment of periodontal and peri-implant diseases, dental implant placement, gingival augmentation and coverage procedures, bone augmentation and ridge preservation, aesthetic and restorative crown lengthening, exposure of unerupted teeth, and assessment and management of periodontal pathology.
